Do you enjoy music from other languages that you don't understand?

It is said that for a music lover, language is no barrier..music connects deep to the soul. I am one person who values a good lyrics in any song. And to understand the lyrics, you need to understand the language. For most of my life, I have listened to songs where the lyrics made sense to me. But recently, I have started enjoying the Japanese and Korean songs that my elder daughter listens to. I find them very soulful. I do get the emotions of the songs though I don't understand the language. Do you enjoy songs in languages that you don't understand.?

@Sanjeev . Even for me, lyrics is very important. The songs that are loud and noisy are a strict no for me, even if they are in the languages that I understand. I like soulful songs. Even good pops and rock ones that have some good voice or instruments to be appreciated. There are many created with only noise and no quality to offer. My daughter listens to Stray kids, a Korean band. Their music is really good and the voices are really touching. I find their songs soulful despite not knowing the language.

I do enjoy music from different languages :) Korean, to be precise, and that is BTS and each member from BTS.

I love how with BTS, a language barrier does not get in the way of those who enjoy their music, and we all enjoy going and translating the songs so that we can understand them better.

Just a few months ago, my daughter and I went to a concert to see Jin from BTS, and even though he tried to speak in English, he still struggled and spoke in Korean, but we had a translation.

Being part of 20K people singing together a song in Korean like we are fluent in the language, was the best experience ever! Yup, that is a song about Tuna! :D

Here it is :)

Oh yes! I catch up with the songs in languages I can’t even pronounce. This is to tell you that music is a universal thing. I love Spanish songs as they just sound smooth. Even Korean and French jams are also on my playlist. As long as the rhythm and beat is sweet, lyrics don't matter. I was even jamming to one Turkish song lately, don’t know what it means but it's so interesting.😂

Yes. I love French and Swedish music. Although since I speak both, I understand them. I enjoy the music of Vietnamese singer Khan Linh but I don't speak the language. I also enjoy Kurdish music.
