Physical newspaper.

We live in the digital Era. And at a very rapid speed, everything is moving from analogue to digital. Most people these days go to digital media platforms to get the news. There are many digital media platforms there and social media platforms also keep you updated about the happenings in the world. Even the newspapers in print have a digital version knowing well the consumption is more in digital space.
But for someone like me, my morning tea is incomplete without having the morning newspapers in my hand. It has been a ritual since decades. And it is hard to break for me. My husband has moved to digital space for news. But not me. I keep the good articles for reading later at leisurely time in afternoon or in night.
How about you? Are you still taking a physical print newspaper?

As a football fan in high school, I used to buy football newspapers everyday on my way to school to use for football banters. But all that has changed now. All newspaper companies are publishing their news on their sites. No one actually buys a physical newspaper any longer. I doubt that they even print paper newspapers any longer. That's one business value chain that digitization has crashed and made no longer viable.

I still like physical newspapers, even though most people now read online. There’s just something about that fresh paper smell in the morning and sitting with a cup of tea while flipping through pages. My mum still buys Vanguard every day. I mostly read headlines on my phone now, but whenever I’m home, I join her to read. It’s very nostalgic. physical papers still get their charm.
