Do you wish to settle in rural place?

If you ask me, I wish to relocate to the village as I am tired of living a fast life with pollution, density, and traffic jams.

I want to feel nature and breathe in fresh air. What about you? Have you ever thought of leaving the luxurious life of a city? I know most of you won't agree as who want to leave luxuries in life.

At the moment i honestly don't have any plans to settle in a rural area, but who knows in the future i might change my mind.

Maybe you are younger at the moment. I will retire from the job after 10 years after then I am thinking to shift to my village and will do some work to earn from there. Let's see I may be able to do that.

Not really about age though, i still have so much i need to do and can't even think about retirement now because what i have won't even be enough to live a average life not to mention a comfortable one.

I also have land in my village and a small house , I also have a plan to settle their after the retirement. I want to live a peaceful life when I won't be having a job.

You may not be knowing it. It's a town Khurja in UP. Though it's getting developed from last few years because it's hardly 90 kms away from Delhi.

That would not be an easy decision to be honest. I have to put in place a lot of things that will help me live off grid, and that can wan a lot of expenses. Rural life is peaceful and rewarding, but the cost of it is also not small.

@Kennysplash Yes, it is not easy to do that because you won't get those facilities in the village that you get in the cities. But still the villages are developing here and now, and basic needs are being availed. Though I am not sure about the future, if everything remains fine, I will move to my village.

This could be a good idea. Sometimes I imagine living somewhere quiet or some calm village near water. Less stress, cheaper food, no city traffic. But internet connection might be the major problem

. I like peace, but I still need a little city life for a balance.

No, these days villages are not like they used to be in the past. You can have an internet facility there too and many other things that you can avail in the cities.

I live in a small town that's kind of rural. I don't think I'd ever want to move anywhere else, especially a big city. I prefer the peace and quiet that comes with living in a small rural area that is still somewhat near a city. So it's not completely rural, but is rural enough for me.

@Ginger Absolutely, rural areas have fewer resources and opportunities to earn, but that's not the only thing one requires in life. Peace is not important, but at some age a person would like to have peace and comfort in life;at some age I would like to attain them in my life.

With the way the rural areas in my country are, it would be very difficult for a person like me that was born and brought up in the city to go live there. My dad has built a house in our village which is very remote. I even have not been able to step into that house. I really don't think that I can cope in a place where there is no internet like it is in my village.
