Are customers always right?

In any business we think the customer is always right because if we lose our customers, we won't be able to run our business, but sometimes the customer goes beyond the limit, and he/she is not right. What is to be done in that case? How to tell the customer that he/she is not right?Do you also think that the customer is not always right? Sometimes the owner is right, but to tell the customer his/her mistake is always risky.

Lol, not all the time. Some customers are very rude and unreasonable. I’ve worked in a place where someone insulted the whole staff just because of a little delay. I believe respect should go both ways. Yes, customers are important, but they are not kings. A good business should stand firm sometimes, because people take advantage of that “customer is always right” line too much.

I don't think the customer was wrong in this case because when he/she is spending money, he/she wants the product/service on time; a little delay may cause frustration, and if I were a customer, I also may not have tolerated that delay.

Then concept of the customer being right is based on the context of the choices they make and pay for. If a customer wants to buy something that I think is not suitable for him, and I try to advise him otherwise, and he insists, the customer is right. That's because I may not truly understand his pain point and utility of the product. And more so, he is using his money to pay.

The customer being always right has never been in the context of character. When a customer acts unruly, they are wrong. And you should politely tell them so.

Sad as it is to admit, yes, customers are always right. It doesn't matter how bad you are being treated, employers expect you to always apologize to the customers so they don't get angry and walk away with their money. You can say that's not fair, but since when has life been fair?
