Lunar eclipse

As I write this,a total lunar eclipse has started here. This is the second one in 2025. It started at 9:58 PM and is going to be a long one, it would end around 1:26 AM. That's a long one. It's supposed to be a blood red moon here and would be a visual treat. Unfortunately, it was pouring here sometimes back. And even now, it is drizzling and dark clouds are here. We might not be able to see it. I would stay awake for another hour and hope that we can get some glimpse. Go away! Clouds.

I don't know if we can see the moon with the naked eyes, will there be any side effects or not. But I am taking a precaution so not seeing it and not allowing my kids to see it. I read it in the news it will be a red moon today night.

We had a very clear view of the moon yesterday evening, and it looked amazing! I have seen some amazing photos going around the internet as well.

It seemed it depended on where you were in the world as to how well you saw it

Actually lunar eclipse can be seen with naked eyes, unlike the solar eclipse that needs precautions of protective glasses to protect your eyes. Many people have some beliefs of eclipses bringing bad omen and don't watch it.
@Shortie. Happy that you could get the spectacular view. It was just stunning. I wish the sky was clearer and we could get better views. My friend from the UK shared a beautiful picture of blood moon too.

I had high hopes of seeing it myself but unfortunately i was not able to due to the cloudy skies we had that night, so i ended up missing it.

Lunar eclipse is very magical. I can remember watching one through my windows and it looks impossible to see the moon coming up with different colors, it's quite amazing. It's a special moment when people across the world witness together.
