Afghan Taliban says 58 Pakistani troops killed in 'retaliatory' border attacks

The attack on Pakistani forces in several mountainous regions along the northern border has been acknowledged by the Taliban regime.

"An act of retaliation" murdered 58 Pakistani military troops, according to a Taliban spokesman.

It said Pakistan bombed a market within its border on Thursday, violating Afghan airspace. Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan's interior minister, said that his nation's soldiers would retaliate "with a stone for every brick" and claimed that the Afghan attacks were "unprovoked" and that civilians were shot at.

Hope it doesn't convert in to another war.

It is so sad to hear of things like this. With so many wars already taking place, the last thing we need to see is another war take hold.

Things are not at peace now a days in the world. I don't think Trump will mediate because he might be upset for not getting the Nobel prize for peace. Someone will have to mediate if the war escalate.

Oh, did he not get it? I saw talk about whether he may, but I didn't see anything on whether he did or not. I do have a feeling that a lot of what he did was to try and get the Nobel Peace Prize, so if he didn't, who knows what he may or may not do next.

Yes, he didn't get it. He was lying and wanted to take credit for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan to beg for a Nobel Prize. But finally he didn't. Now, he is questioning why Obama got the Nobel Prize when he didn't do anything worth getting it.

That's his problem. He thinks he should dominate the world, every country should work as per him but its impossible now.

That’s heavy. I'm shocked and sad when such news is raised. I imagine the families on both sides, the sacrificed lives, the politics. It reminds you of how untidy and sad wars are. I sincerely wish that there could be peace in that region

@uptrendfinancialsignal It is always a consequence of a war, but still people don't understand and put innocent people at risk. What is the fault of soldiers who put their lives at risk in the war? Even though the dependents of soldiers who sacrifice their lives in the war get good compensation from the government, the money cannot fill the void that is made after the death of a person.

Why can't we have peace in the world? I pray there is no escalation because our hands are already full. The humanitarian crises in Gaza and Ukraine alone beat my imagination. Who would have thought that we will be battling with wars in this modern era?
