Are you used to keeping money at home?

Are you used to keeping money at home? Is it safe to do it? There might be eyes following you like a family member who loves money despite being jobless, lol. It is also good to keep some amount of money at home. Not all stores, especially small stores, accept payments via credit card. In my case, I do keep money at home. Every morning, a fish vendor knocks at our door, selling fresh fish and shrimp. Of course, cash is used to pay the fish vendor. There are times when I buy meat like beef and chicken in the public market, so cash is required. There is no machine to swipe a credit card in the ubic market. Apart from that reason, there is also no VAT inclusion in every purchase in the public market.:giggle:

These days i rarely keep money at home, most of the transactions i do are mostly through online transfers.
I do keep cash at home. I always shop in the market for fruits, vegetables, and meat. There is no machine to switch for a payment made with a credit card. We also have a regular supplier of fresh fish and shrimps every morning, so cash is required as payment.

It doesn't mean that if you keep cash at home it will be stolen. However it happened to me my niece kept on stealing my money. I don't count my money however one time I can't find my P1000 which I supposed to pay for the fresh fish delivered at home. I later learned that my young niece secretly stole my money in my wallet. But I didn't punish. I learned a lesson so I no longer display my wallet.

I used to keep money at home but I stopped it a long time ago. I stopped when I got robbed in my residence. It was a very serious one as I lost a lot of money. That's when I learned a lesson that it is always good to put your money in the bank. Too many stories about theft and unexpected emergencies here and there. Plus, anything I keep at home, I’ll end up spending it casually. Keeping money in the bank or an app just helps me stay disciplined. I don't save too much money. I prefer to use my money for investment. I have a store where I can invest my money.
