Halloween 2025 Do you give out treats on Halloween?

On Halloween, you may find that some children will come to your house to trick-or-treat. Do you buy candy to hand out to children who come trick-or-treating?

Do you get many trick-or-treaters?

We hand out candy here, but we don't get many kids here. Last year I don't think we got a single kid. But we got some new neighbors who have kids, so we might get some kids this year. I doubt we'll get many though. Plus I think most of the kids go to the richer areas to collect candy. So they might just do that.

Yeah. We buy a small bag every year and hand it out to the kids in the neighborhood who ring the doorbell on Halloween. We usually end up with more than half a bag left over since there aren't many kids left in the neighborhood these days.

We don't get kids as we live in a disabled and elderly housing. Although we have a friend who is bringing her 2 kids over so we are buying candy this year. We usually don't and just wait till after Halloween to get the discounts.
