How do you contribute to keep environment clean?

These days, when the whole world is fighting with all types of pollution, it has become mandatory for all of us to contribute to reducing pollution. I try not to use plastic, as it doesn't decompose easily and causes pollution. I try not to use vehicles for small distances and try to go on foot.

What do you do to reduce pollution on your side?

I don’t dirty the environment, no matter where I am. After taking anything that is wrapped in disposables, I make sure I keep them until I find a place I can trash them. This way I contribute to the cleanness of the environment.

It's pretty hard but people should play their part. If they can they should not take seperate cars to same destination and should go for public transport wherever it's possible for them

@Ginger I agree; carpooling is one of the best ways to reduce pollution. Also, I believe if we focus on a policy of planting a plant per person in a month, it will be very helpful, but it depends on the space to do so.

Ensuring that your space itself is clean, is one way to make sure that the whole environment itself is clean. It has to start from somewhere.

Keeping the environment clean is not easy at all, especially in areas where people just throw dirt anyhow. But I try my best. I don’t litter, I burn or bag my waste properly, and I also talk to my neighbours about not dumping things in the gutter. In my compound, we do small cleanup every Saturday, so the place is always neat. Back in uni, I even joined a group that cleaned market areas once a month, it was fun and tiring at the same time. I just believe if everyone plays their part, our environment will be better.
