It's hard for the people to cope with the broken relationship. Many of the people go into depression and find it difficult for them to live without the partner. Have you been in a relationship that broke? If it was, then how did you cope, and how did you forget your ex? Hope it may help others who are struggling for it.
It is not really easy, to be honest. You can’t just erase someone like uouy pressing a delete button. What helped me was cutting off contact and staying busy. I use the gym, engage in new hobbies, I even travel. Time really does its thing. One day, you’ll just wake up and realize you haven’t thought about them in weeks. But it's very painful at first, especially when old memories start popping up. Just don’t rush it, you will heal gradually.
@uptrendfinancialsignal Yes, it is not easy to erase the memories. People have a bad experience and say that every time they close their eyes, they see the picture of their ex, and it becomes difficult to erase this memory. This happens with the people who have truly loved a person, and for them, who flirted, it is easy to forget a person.
I am not that person to keep an ex in my mind for long. I am one person that always doesn't build too many expectations around things, especially romantic relationships. That's why I don't find it hard to let go of romantic relationships. I have had ex girlfriends that were amazing. I have memories of them and just wish, but not being able to move on. Having an ex stuck in your mind for years is not something that a guy that has grown up with all the difficulties in my country should bother about.
@King Belieal Maybe you didn't love someone deeply . There are people who find it so difficult to get back to normal once the relationship is broken. Lots of people go to psychologists to find ways to forget their past because they cannot wipe out the memories, and that's normal in my opinion.
Just give it time, the memories will gradually fade away. It happened with me. Though it might seem like one can't let go, but with time it gets better. Meanwhile, you can engage in activities you love and mingle with your friends.
@Teegold Yes, with time these memories will fade away. But sometimes with many people it doesn't fade and causes problems. That's a good idea to make new friends, as that helps to move on.
