This is awful to see and I really do hope that everyone got to safety.

I am watching two live streams right now, and it's not looking good at the moment

I have heard that it has been downgraded to a category 4 now, but was a category 5 on landfall.

That is very serious. I saw some clips online, and it looked really bad. That is why we need to protect nature. I just hope everyone over there stays safe and gets help quickly. Weather patterns these days are scary, even here in Africa, rain and floods are wiping properties and people out. Global warming is no longer something that should be taken with levity.

It also hit Cuba. It's devastating.
US is ready to deliver humanitarian help, and the fricking communist government of Cuba don't want accept the help if it doesn't go through them.
They steal the donations and sell them to the people, donations never-ever get to the actual people that needs it. And US wants to give the help directly to the people, not through the government.
