I cannot leave home today, there is a heavy rain. The flood in our backyard is above the knee. It seems the flood won't subside this afternoon or even in the evening. There is a series of storms in the Philippines. The previous storm left 189 dead, and it is now attacking Indonesia. After the killer typhoon left, a new one emerged, and it will last up to Tuesday. I cannot go to church tomorrow because of the flood in our yard.

Flooding has also been a big issue here because it rained all day. Once there is a heavy where I am, everywhere would turn to swimming pools. Last year my street turn to a big river, we were tiptoeing looking for stones to step on.

That's the significant effect during storm, flooding follows and if the canals are clogged, the flood spreads on land causing a massive devastation of lives and properties.

It was devastating to say the least. My district was not much affected but some other places were completely drowned and that made things miserable

It's also the same happening here, some cities were significantly affected with monster flood. In my location there's no extreme flooding. If there is, it's just below the ankle.

In winters we rarely have rainfall here. Sorry to know that your location is flooding. I understand how tough it is to stay in such a situation. How are you going to the college?
