Japan plans to hire hunters as bear attacks rise

The Japanese government has hired licensed hunters to kill bears who have been entering the residential area and are attacking people. Lately, 12 people have been killed by them, and 100 people have been injured in the attack. That's a great move because the bears are becoming dangerous and a threat to the people there. Hope the number comes down after the recruitment of the hunters.

That one shocked me a little when I read it. I know Japan have forests, but I didn’t think that the bear issues has gotten worse to that extent. Hiring hunters makes sense, but I just hope they don’t overkill the animals. Sometimes nature just keep fighting back for all the land we took over. Still, I keep imagining waking up one faithful day and seeing a bear outside your house, I will relocate very quickly.
