Christmas 2025 When do you celebrate Christmas?

Well, I know thar many might be bewildered at this question of mine. December 25th, the birth of Jesus is globally known as the Christmas day. And the celebration is widespread.
I am a Hindu and my household does not celebrate Christmas. I have starred putting Christmas tree as my daughters wanted it as children. So, that's a little celebration that I borrowed from friends from other faith. I grew up with the understanding that Christmas falls on 25th December and celebration begins early and can last up to several weeks going into New year. This came as a surprise to me when one of my Catholic friend said that they celebrate Christmas on 7th January and not 25th December. It seems many traditional Christian families celebrate it on 7th January according to Julian calendar.
When do you celebrate it?

@eLdavis . Even I was surprised when I came to know of it. I had met people before who said that they celebrate it for 12 days starting from 25th December and ending it on 7th January. But this catholic friend of mine apparently does nothing on 25th December. Their entire celebration like family meal, gift exchange etc is done on 7th January. When I searched online, it seems like many traditional Christian do the same. They follow Julian calender. It was something new and interesting fact for me.

For me, Christmas celebrations start like one week before the main day. You would hear music everywhere, people buying things, kids already excited. But the real celebration for us is on the 25th. We go to church in the morning, then eat and visit our friends and family for the rest of the day. Sometimes we still continue the enjoyment on the 26th.

We always celebrate Christmas from December 24th, and then we have a week where my son has his birthday on the 28th, and then we celebrate New Year's on the 31st of December.
