Short working week...it feels good.

India celebrated it's grand festival of lights, Diwali on Monday. In some cultures, it was celebrated on Tuesday. We had a long weekend as Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday was a holiday on account of this festival. Today we returned back to work and some carried the festival vibes bringing sweets and delicacies in the staff room. And it's another one day of work and the other weekend begins. Just two working days in this week. It feels good to have such short working weeks. What about you? Do you enjoy such short working weeks?

I do enjoy short working weeks. :) We don't tend to get them too often in the UK, though, which is a shame, but they are nice when we do get them.

They always seem to go way too fast, though! Does anyone else feel the same way?

I don't think there's anyone who doesn't like a short working week. Anytime there is a public holiday, my body just feels relaxed. That feeling of waking up and knowing you still have extra free day is quite comforting.. I remember last month when we had a random holiday, I slept all day. 🤣 Sometimes we all need a break from hustle. Productivity can also improve when you have rest.

@Shortie . It happens here too. India has a lots of festivals and so, a lot of holidays. I won't call it a shame. We get enough breaks to rejuvenate ourselves. This makes one stay productive and efficient.
@uptrendfinancialsignal . Yes, I know the feeling. Everyone working would relate to that. No matter how much one loves the work, every one extra day off than usual brings an unparalleled joy.
And you are right, productivity increases after rejuvenation.
@eLdavis. Yes, I did enjoy it. Used it well to rejuvenate myself and also could finish few pending chores that get neglected in a long working week. Such breaks are always good.

@Ginger. Yes, no more national holidays left for the year. Don't you get holidays for Christmas and other festivals?
India has the beautiful culture with so many festivals and celebrations. We get many holidays spread around the year. I love that.
No, we won't get any. We will have New Years party on 31st but that would be late in the evening and no holidays
