What methods do you adopt to make your blogs visually appealing?

I have been thinking to start blogging so would like to explain bit more for the beginners.

I learnt the hard way that looks matter a lot for blogs. I think I got approved by Google Adsense within a month that I created https://uptrendsignal.com/ because I took my time to make it visually appealing. If you just have text everywhere with no structure and no attractive color, people would bounce quickly. I use Canva for custom images and changed my theme to something that is cleaner. Also spacing and font really matter too. Sometimes just adding white space can change everything for you. If your blog looks fine, people will most definitely take you more seriously.
