Do you keep cash, these days?

These days when there are several money transfer apps available, I don't keep cash normally except when I have to travel and go for a vacation for a few days. It's very comfortable these days that we don't have a burden to keep the cash safely. I know it sometimes becomes difficult when there is no internet available at some place or people don't use a money transfer app, but still most of the time it is fine. How about you? Do you keep cash these days or not?

I do. I always take my wallet with me and make sure I have at least $20-$40 in it whenever I go out anywhere, just in case, you never know.

While it is true that card payments are the norm these days, it is still advisable to keep some cash in hand in case of any form of emergency. There are still some places here that are run by old people who prefer to be paid in cash.

I rarely do as I often do money transfer via my bank app. It's easy because virtually everyone accepts money transfers for any goods you purchase. But sometimes I still keep small notes for emergencies or if there is a network issue and I couldn't make online transaction. It's usually shocking if you want to make a transaction and network disappear, so small cash can be very handy. It just feel weird to hold a bundle of cash.

@uptrendfinancialsignal Same with me, I feel burdened if I have to keep the cash. It's easy to transfer money online in one click. But there are people here who don't know about online money transfer and also don't believe in it. They like the traditional way of keeping cash and spending it.

I discovered that I spend money easily whenever I have cash with me. Now every market person is able to accept electronic cash payment so I carry as little cash with me as possible to curb spending.

Majority of the transactions i do are usually done through transfers, so i only keep very little cash.
