How do you deal with a toxic boss?

I have mentioned on many forums about my boss who is very toxic and shouts on workers and his subordinates.

He doesn't listen just shouts and we have to tolerate because we know he is going to torture us in future if we complain about him.

He believes by shouting only he can increase the work efficiency of the people. How wrong he is? He must learn and must read some management books and must learn how to deal with the subordinates and colleagues. I wonder how our management allows him to behave like this.

Personally i feel instead of trying to find ways to deal with one, the best thing would be to start looking for another employment. It's never easy dealing with a toxic boss.

Actually at this age I know I won't be able to get a new job with the same salary that's why I have dropped the idea of finding out a new job and tolerating this boss

Then you can't complain.

If you don't like what your present/future look, it's your responsibility to change it (not your boss responsibility) You would need to fire yourself and find a better future/environment.

Bad environments can destroy your self-esteem and lead you to a poor life. Change your environment for one that help you grow. Don't settle for the "pay" you get now, in another environment I am sure you can shine and make even much more, or maybe this is the call to start your own business and become the boss you expect him to be.

Definitely, it is the time for me to change the employment. But you know the things are not like the US here. Because of the overpopulation we have lots of unemployment and people find hard time to get a job. So in this scenario when I am close to the retirement I don't think it is wise to go for a job change but definitely a good time to start a business. I am checking out the options for me for the business and will start as soon as possible.

I understand what you mean, but what about start working towards maybe starting a side business, then once things becomes more stable with your business, you can choose to leave your toxic boss. Though it won't be easy.

@eLdavis Yes, that would be helpful, but that requires time, and my present job is so demanding that I am not in a situation to start a business at the moment, but definitely it's in my mind, and I will start it once things settle.
Yes i completely understand, anyways lets see how it goes. For the time being just try your best to study your boss and try to avoid things that ticks him off.

I’m sorry I can’t cope. I have a value that I am adding to the organization, that is why I am working there. Raising your voice at me is a no, regardless of who you are. I can’t even imagine how I would react to that. Bosses need to realize that being toxic does not achieve anything. In fact it makes your employees hate them and their job.
