How important are friends for you?

We give a lot of importance to family and no one can deny that. But then there is another relationship that is beyond blood bonds and things like gender, age, ethnicity. It's friendship and there is no qualifying criteria to become good friends. You just get that vibe and strong connection. I value my friends a lot, those who are above being mere colleagues or acquaintances. Though it is said that blood is thick, I strongly feel that this precious bond of feelings and heart is also priceless.

Well not just friends but close friends. Mine now are even like brothers to me because we have known ourselves for many years now. I don’t know how I could have done this life without them to be honest.

Friends are important to me, but I will admit, it takes for a friend to be loyal and a friend for a while before they become very important to me.

I have been burned many times by friends whom I thought I could trust, so I tend to see how things go with friends before I classify a friendship as important.
