Mother of Israeli hostage says she still doesn't know if he's alive or dead

The mother of an Israeli man kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, 2023, says she has "real hope" that all of the hostages held in Gaza would return as part of US President Donald Trump's peace proposal, but she is still unsure if her son is dead or alive. He was the only Israeli hostage, according to her, whose family had not been informed of their whereabouts. Trump's suggested peace proposal has been gathering traction, and on Tuesday, indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas to end the conflict and return the prisoners are anticipated to resume.

That kind pain is not to be experienced by anyone. I can’t even imagine what that woman is going through right now. Waiting every day for news about your child and still hearing nothing. To be honest, that's more like a life torture. Politics aside, I just pray she gets closure soon, whether good or bad. Sometimes these wars and conflicts just create endless pain for innocent people that don't know nothing about the origin of the fight. The world really needs more empathy, honestly.

Yes, she may be going through lots of pain because she doesn't know where her son is. She must be hoping that she gets some news about him. People who were released were tortured; it shows the cruelty of Hamas. Hope now when the things have become normal, Hamas may have understood that such aggression in the future will erase Gaza from the map.
